Introduction to the Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace

Welcome to the Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace, a beacon of hope, love, and compassion in our tumultuous world. Rooted in the timeless teachings of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, the visionary inspiration of Dada J.P. Vaswani, and the steadfast leadership of Didi Krishna Kumari, our organization stands as a living testament to the power of peace, unity, and forgiveness. The Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace is the overseas outpost of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission headquartered in Pune, India.

Based in the serene landscapes of New Jersey, USA, our headquarters serve as a wellspring of spiritual nourishment accessible to all. Our core mission is to make this spiritual journey accessible to all people, regardless of their race, age, or background. We welcome seekers from all walks of life, seeking inner peace, wisdom, and unity. “Flowers of peace cannot bloom on Earth, when the hearts of nations are a volcano,” Sadhu Vaswani said many years ago. “Look within and meditate on the atmaan (soul), and you will know the way of peace!”

Guided by the wisdom of these revered spiritual luminaries, we aspire to create a world where love transcends division, forgiveness mends wounds, and compassion guides our actions. Our mission is simple yet profound: to foster a global family where individuals from all walks of life can come together to promote harmony, understanding, and the welfare of all living beings.

As the torchbearers of Sadhu Vaswani’s and Dada J.P. Vaswani’s legacy, we honor their teachings and continue to inspire change. Didi Krishna Kumari, the torchbearer of our mission, leads us with her unwavering commitment to promoting love, forgiveness, and the unity of all.

We invite you to explore our website to discover our programs, initiatives, and the profound impact of our work in the world. Join us in celebrating three significant events that shape our calendar: Global Forgiveness Day on August 2, International Meatless Day for the Veg Pledge on November 25, and Didi’s worldwide tours to promote our noble cause.

The Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace is more than an organization; it is a movement, a sanctuary for peace seekers, and a global community of kindred spirits. Together, we strive to make the world a better place—one act of forgiveness, one compassionate deed, and one moment of unity at a time.

Join us in our journey towards a more peaceful and harmonious world. Together, we can be the change we wish to see in the world.

Mission and Vision

The Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace (SVCWP) seeks to usher in a new era of brotherhood and understanding, by sowing seeds of peace in the hearts of mankind.

The SVCWP believes that the human birth is a rare gift that has been bestowed to serve a uniquely individual purpose and that it is in the discovery and fulfilment of that purpose that success in every aspect of life can be accomplished.

The SVCWP promotes education of the child with the dual qualities of the head and the heart; service of the poor and needy, the sick and the elderly; sustainability; communion with nature; animal rights; interfaith dialogue and harmony; and, above all, Universal Love. The others are not apart from us, we are all part of One Whole.

Mission: At the Sadhu Vaswani Center for World Peace, our mission is to inspire and promote a world where the principles of love, forgiveness, and nonviolence serve as the guiding lights of humanity, as envisioned by Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, Dada J.P. Vaswani, and carried forward by the unwavering leadership of Didi Krishna Kumari. We are dedicated to fostering a global community that transcends boundaries, religions, and cultures. Our mission is to bring about a profound transformation in individuals and society, leading to a more peaceful, harmonious, and compassionate world. Through education, humanitarian initiatives, and advocacy, we seek to create a legacy of love and unity that endures for generations to come.

Vision: Our vision is a world where individuals and nations come together in the spirit of unity, understanding, and cooperation, in accordance with the profound visions of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, Dada J.P. Vaswani, and the leadership of Didi Krishna Kumari. We envision a world where forgiveness heals the deepest wounds, love conquers hate, and nonviolence prevails over conflict. We strive for a planet where all living beings are treated with kindness and compassion, and where the principles of vegetarianism are embraced for the well-being of animals and the environment. Our vision is a future where people from diverse backgrounds work hand in hand to create a global family founded on the principles of peace, justice, and respect for all. Through our efforts and the enduring inspiration of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani, Dada J.P. Vaswani, and the dedicated leadership of Didi Krishna Kumari, we aim to make this vision a reality, one step at a time.

The first floor of the main building will have the Prayer Hall and the Special Events / Dining Hall. The buildings will be set around an eco-friendly peace park with a reflecting sky mirror. The Garden of Peace will bloom in the hues of flowers of each of the four seasons, and incorporate lotus ponds and abstract art that will attract people of all faith to visit from all over. A walking path, benches, and meditation pods are also provided to further promote silent contemplation.

The parking lot will allow for approximately 90 parking spots, with arrangements for additional off-site parking for special events within walking distance.

In addition to its physical presence, the SVCWP will engage with communities across the continents by social media. At the direction of the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, the SVCWP seeks to establish a significant digital presence. The Prime Minister has urged Didi Krishna Kumari to set up a Sadhu Vaswani University on a digital platform so that the visionary teachings of the Master and Rev. Dada can reach every corner of the world. The mission of the SVCWP is to bring the Prime Minister’s vision to fruition.

The total cost of the project is estimated at USD 10 million. Sadhu Vaswani set up the first SVM institute in 1932 with only one anna (penny) in his pocket and faith in the “Bank of Providence”. We began our construction plans at the sacred hands of Didi Krishna Kumari on May 20, 2023, with an expected completion by May, 2024. We too shall rely on the Bank of Providence to make more funds available as we begin construction. The Bank of Providence never fails.
